Welcome to Oakley Camera Club
The fact that you are reading this suggests that you have an interest in photography, so we ask you, what do you want from your photography? The answer is varied, from simple memories and records of time and place, to sharing with like minded friends and competitive status. Whether you have a simple 'point and shoot' full 'digital SLR' or even a mobile phone, it's your images and what you do with them that is the key to rewarding photography. See our members gallery HERE Here at Oakley Camera Club we cater for all kinds of photographer's needs. From beginners looking for help and encouragement and what can be done with them, to others, who have more experience but want to get involved in the more artistic and defining aspects, of competitive photography. Tutorial and Training Evenings Oakley Camera Club is a small, friendly group (just how we like it), comprising people from a range of age groups and abilities in the world of photography. Their experience ranges from technical knowledge of cameras, editing suites and presentational techniques, to regular competition and professional activities. In other words, whatever level you want to achieve, we have someone willing and able to share their knowledge and experience. Part of our programme is dedicated to tutoring, with events like Critique Nights, Post Processing and Lectures. Competitions and Lectures We hold our own internal club competition league in Projected Digital and Print formats. As a member of the Southern Counties Photographic Federation and the Photographic Society of America the club takes part in regular inter-club competitions. We also invite many interesting visiting lecturers and guest speakers; see our Programme page for more information. |
